Avena’s Impact: August Carbon Savings Update

At Avena, sustainability is at the core of our mission, and we're excited to share the significant strides we've made in August! Through our sustainable security solutions, we have achieved remarkable carbon savings, amounting to 241,623 kilograms of CO2e. That's a major win for the planet—and for all of us committed to a greener future. But what does this number mean? Let's break it down into more relatable terms:

• 282 acres of U.S. forests would need to work for an entire year to absorb the same amount of CO2.
• It’s like planting 3,995 tree seedlings and nurturing them for 10 years.
• We’ve effectively saved 559 barrels of oil from being consumed or 27,188 gallons of gasoline from being burned.

Additionally, our carbon savings are equivalent to:

• Preventing the burning of 266,287 pounds of coal.
• Offsetting the electricity use of 47 homes for an entire year.
• Avoiding 617,967 miles driven by the average passenger vehicle.
• Charging 15.9 million smartphones!

These figures are not just about numbers, they represent the tangible impact our clients are making by choosing Avena’s innovative and eco-friendly security solutions.
