Repurposing & Remanufacture

Similar to recycling, fibres are repurposed or remanufactured into new materials. These can include insulation, composite reinforcement or energy‑recovery products, supporting circular‑economy goals and reducing environmental impact.

What’s the process?

Collection & Secure Transport: DBS‑checked Avena staff collect textiles and uniforms, loading them into CCTV‑monitored, GPS‑tracked, unmarked vehicles. A full audit trail starts at collection.

Chain of Custody: Items are transported directly to secure, access‑controlled UK facilities, with every movement monitored.

Destruction & Brand Protection: Garments are destroyed to ensure all branding and identifiers are fully unrecoverable, eliminating misuse risks.

Repurposing & Circular Output: Where possible, fibres are repurposed into new materials (e.g. insulation, composites, precast concrete solutions, and more).

Certification & Reporting: You receive a Certificate of Destruction and an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) showing CO₂ savings.
