The role of Accounts Executive is integral to the success and future proofing of Avena Environmental.

This position requires a diligent, professional individual who has excellent attention to detail and prides themselves in adhering to processes whilst also considering and suggesting changes for improvement. Further, the person in role needs to live the values of the business and focus on supporting internal stakeholders to secure the future of Avena and all that rely on it.

  • Creation of new contract invoicing including creating new customer profiles on Xero
  • Creation of ad-hoc invoices
  • Creation of repeat invoicing
  • Producing month end invoices
  • Raising termination fee invoices
  • Raising invoices based on subcontracted work
  • Invoice for WEEE rebate
  • Invoicing and integration of businesses subject to acquisition
  • Management of price increase implementation
  • Updating repeat invoices on Xero with price increase data
  • Removing cancelled customers from repeat invoicing on Xero
  • Raising annual duty of care invoices
  • Approve supplier invoices uploaded to Xero
  • Banking cheques
  • Management of assigned CRM (HubSpot) system pipelines to enable resolution to customer queries. Upholding first response times and resolution times in line with SLA.
  • Aiding the department in other duties to cover for absences.
  • Cross skilling other team members within the department to aid in cover for busier periods or absence
  • Supporting Accounts & Admin manager in other duties

Key Performance Indicators

Your line manager will set out specific measures with you, however you will be focusing on;

KPI 1 Month end task to be completed and reports produced with SLA
KPI 2 Invoices sent to customers within SLA

Essential Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good computer literacy
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Excellent level of written business English language
  • Use of automated accounting and online banking
  • Exposure from within a similar role
  • Good understanding of accounting practices & processes

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working on accounting software platform, Xero
  • Industry relevant qualification such as AAT
