Acquisition opens a third depot for secure data destruction company and enhances its coverage across London and the Midlands.
East Anglia: On Thursday 31st August 2023, The Avena Group formally completed the acquisition of Assured Security Shredding Limited based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
“We are excited to announce the acquisition of Assured Security Shredding Limited as another strategic milestone in the growth of The Avena Group,” says Ken Crawshaw, founder and director. “This deal will allow for more efficient operations in the London and South-West UK areas while providing a further operating base to accommodate strong company growth into the future.”
Terry Prickett, Managing Director of Assured Security Shredding adds “We will continue to operate with our existing staff but coming from a stronger position as part of a larger national group.”
Terry will be playing a key ongoing role in Avena’s London operations for the foreseeable future, backed by their nationwide operations team, and the Buckinghamshire facility will remain intact. In line with Avena’s company growth, this will provide job security for Assured Security’s existing employees and continue to provide job opportunities in the area.
While customers of Assured Security will in due course see their accounts transferred to The Avena Group, they will continue to enjoy the service levels to which they are accustomed. They will also be served by a dedicated Customer Care team that they can contact at any time for support.
The acquisition also brings environmental benefits to The Avena Group: with their operations now also strategically based within easy reach of both London and the Midlands they will see tangible reductions in fuel consumption and carbon emissions, leading to cost savings they can pass on to customers, and a closer alignment with their CSR goals.
